City of Toronto Coordinated Street Furniture Program

In 2005, R.E. Millward & Associates was retained by the City of Toronto to act as Project Director for an ambitious Coordinated Street Furniture Program. This position involved management of the public consultations, coordinating collaboration with several outside specialists, and extensive contact through many divisions in City Hall. The team contributed to the production of “Vibrant Streets” a detailed guide for the placement of street furniture elements in the public realm. The team assisted in the compilation of the Request For Proposals for the project and helped structure the evaluation process including a design jury panel.
