Berkeley Parliament Inc. retained R.E. Millward + Associates to oversee the development approval process, including Rezoning, Site Plan and Minor Variance applications, for a new 21-storey mixed-use redevelopment proposal at 93-95 Berkeley and 112-124 Parliament Streets. As part of the Rezoning application, our firm prepared supporting documentation including a Planning Rationale and Community Services & Facilities Study.
The development concept for the site integrates a designated heritage building, the Christie, Brown & Co. Stables (1906). The adaptive re-use of the stables, together with the provision of a publicly accessible pedestrian mews, provides a context-sensitive response to the King-Parliament neighbourhood.
