Toronto Official Plan Review

In collaboration with Swerhun Facilitation, R.E. Millward + Associates was retained by the City of Toronto to prepare and conduct a series of public consultation events to kick off the City’s Official Plan review process. The strategy that emerged, after careful research and reflecting on our team’s collective experience, was based on sound consultation techniques informed by an in-depth understanding of the Official Plan and the statutory review process. Our firm provided the technical planning expertise and ‘policy backbone’ for the public consultations that followed. Over the course of the project, the R.E. Millward + Associates team contributed to the production of a Consultation Discussion Guide designed to frame the facilitation, and participated in a number of the consultation events. The project was successfully completed in the Fall of 2011.
